BVAACN Call For Nominations for Board Members (open till May 19th) for the July 2018-July 2019 Term

We would like to invite ANY current member to consider serving in a role for our growing chapter. You do not have to be a Critical Care bedside nurse-all are welcome to volunteer. We are excited to continue on this journey and would love your help! Let's step out of our comfort zone together and learn from one another. AACN is a great organization that has tons of guidelines to help figure things out.

The 5 positions available are listed below:

• President-Elect: This role becomes familiar with the duties of the President and shall succeed to the        Presidency at the completion of the President's term of office. In the absence of the president, they fill in to ensure the accountabilities of the President are met to facilitate a chapter meeting.

• Secretary- Elect: This role becomes familiar with the process of taking meeting minutes and placing on our Nursing Network page. They assist in maintaining the chapter membership roster via AACN website/NN.

• Treasurer-Elect: Shall work with the Treasurer to become familiar with maintainance of the funds and finacial reporting to AACN. Gains knowledge of Nursing Network

• Membership Chair: Assists with greeting members and meeting sign in /registration of monthly meetings. This role may be shared by 2 people and may utilize a nursing student as a laison. Promotes membership and assists encourages the use of Nursing Network to communicate upcoming events.

• Volunteer Coordinator: Helps communicate special projects/events throughout the year as needed. Organizes participation with the Nursing student/community outreach volunteer opportunities.
